In light of some recent activities around bad actors impersonating, I went over some basic tips using recent scenarios.
First, Eternl was impersonated twice. The bad actor was changing the L’s in the wallet part of eternlwallet, to an “i”. Notice that on twitter, a lower case “L”and an upper case “i” look the same. The bad actor also then attempted to socially engineer by saying that a new version of Eternl Wallet was released and they had a beta website available.
Then, a bad actor attempted to spear phish by creating a fake midnight website, propagating that you could get the “dust” token. When in fact, this is not released yet.
Someone also tried to impersonate Cardano Whale, by using the same tactic with eternl wallet.
